Ensure Cash Back: Adjust Avast Settings
Why Adjust Avast Settings?
Online stores pay us a referral fee when you use our service and we send you to the website you are shopping at. We share the fee directly with you - it's just that simple.
However, some antivirus software, like Avast, identify Coupert's referral links as affected websites and prevent them. As a result, our communication with partner stores is disrupted, so the store won't know you were referred by Coupert. Consequently, we cannot receive the referral fee or share it with you as Cash Back.
How to Adjust Avast Settings?
Method 1: Disable 'Web Shield'
- Open Avast: Click the Avast icon in the taskbar or open the Avast program from the Start menu.
- Select Core Shields.
- Find the Web Shield section and turn it off until you complete the Cash Back activation process.
Method 2: Add Exceptions
- If you only want Avast to ignore a specific website, add the URL or domain of that site.
- Paste the infected URL into the input box, save and apply the changes, and Avast will no longer block that website.
Additional Suggestions:
- Avast may occasionally have false positive reports. You can submit feedback to Avast to help improve their security database: https://www.avg.com/en-ww/report-false-positive#mac
