The Coupert Cash Back feature, available through the Coupert browser extension, enables users to earn back a percentage of what they spend at numerous online stores. This straightforward process enhances savings on online shopping simply by using Coupert's service.


How Cash Back Works

  1. Shopping Online: When you shop at online stores partnered with Coupert, Coupert will notify you about the Cash Back available for your purchases.
  2. Activating Cash Back: Simply click the "Apply Rewards" button and shop as usual, Cash Back will be added to your Coupert account within 24-72 hours. Additionally, you can review your Cash Back Activation Record to verify successful activation.
  3. Earning Cash Back: Rewards will be added to your account after your order is tracked. The Cash Back Rate varies depending on the store and the specific offer available at the time of purchase.
  4. Balance increases: Cash Back rewards are confirmed and calculated in your balance.
  5. Withdrawal: Once the Cash Back is credited and reaches a certain minimum threshold, you can withdraw your Cash Back earnings through PayPal or Gift card.

Meaning of Cash Back Status

The different statuses for Coupert Cash Back indicate the stages or conditions of your Cash Back from the moment you purchase until the Cash Back is ready for withdrawal. Here's a general overview of what these statuses mean:

  1. Pending:
    • When you click through from Coupert and make your transaction on a retailer's site we support, your action is tracked by the retailer and reported back to us (along with your uniquely identifiable code – letting us report your transaction to you).
    • When a transaction is first recorded, it gets a Pending status. This means the store has noticed your purchase and marked it for possible Cash Back. But, we still need to check if everything meets the requirements before confirming the Cash Back.
    • Non-Travel(booking, hotels, etc) orders remain pending for 60 days while the store confirms your purchases and verifies that items from your order haven't been returned or refunded, and the pending period for Travel(booking, hotels, etc) orders extends to 180 days.
  1. Confirmed:
    • Once the retailer confirms the purchase and it passes the return period without any issues (returns, exchanges, cancellations), the Cash Back status is updated to "Confirmed." This means that the Cash Back is officially recognized and will be credited to your account after the retailer pays the commission to Coupert.
  1. Cancelled:
    • When you make a purchase using our Cash Back service, online stores pay us a referral fee, which we share with you as Cash Back. However, if an order is cancelled or if you return an item, the corresponding Cash Back is also cancelled and this may reduce your account balance. Additionally, Coupert reserves the right to reject withdrawal requests if your cancellation rate is too high.
    • Common reasons for Cash Back cancellation include:
      • Out-of-stock items or incorrect order information leading to order cancellations.
      • Refunds or returns of items, whether full or partial.
      • Use of another rewards program that takes precedence over our referral.
      • Violations of store policies, such as unauthorized coupons or conditions limiting referrals to new users only.
      • Duplicate orders.
      • Other system errors or issues. You may refer to the Cash Back Terms and Conditions
    • If your Cash Back is cancelled and you disagree with the decision, you can appeal by clicking the "Appeal" button in the Cash Back Details section. We will then investigate with the store, which can take 1-4 weeks.

How to Report Missing Cash Back

If you haven't seen your Cash Back reflected in your account, please go through the checks below:

  • Check the Order Time:
    • Cash Back from Coupert can take 1-15 days to show up in your account. There's a good chance it's still processing, so there's no need to worry immediately!
  • Verify Coupert's Cash Back Availability on the Site:
    • Not all shopping sites are part of the Coupert Cash Back program. However, if a site is supported, you'll see a pop-up with an "Apply Rewards" button. Similarly, if Coupert's auto-test doesn't find a valid discount code, cash-back-eligible stores will display the "Activate Reward" button on the results page.
  • Confirm Cash Back Eligibility for Your Items:
    • Stores have the final say on exclusions. It's possible that the item you bought didn't qualify for Cash Back.
  • Check for Other Cash Back Extensions:
    • Using multiple Cash Back or rewards programs can result in credit being assigned to only one program. Unfortunately, we can't determine which service will get the credit for your purchase.
  • Ensure You Were Logged Into Coupert:
    • If you weren't logged into your Coupert account when you made the purchase, Coupert wouldn't be able to track your order.
